PROFILE OF NAAC National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) was
established by the Unviersity Grants Commission (UGC) on 16th September,
1994 at Bangalore, for ensuing quality in higher education. The prime agenda of NAAC is to Assess and Accredit institutions
of higher learning with an objective of helping them to work continuously to
improve the quality of education Assessment is a performance evaluation of an
institution and Accreditation refers to the certification given by NAAC. NAAC is the founder member of international Network of Quality
Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE), and the process followed by
NAAC is in accordance with internationally accepted practice of ‘academic

The Principal and the teachers of the
College are sincerely devoted to the development of their college and
students. ·
The highly disciplined, properly
motivated quality students are getting education in the college. ·
The unique mechanism for ensuring the
performance of teachers and staff on daily basis is worth appreciating. ·
The students are constantly monitored
and supervised. Parents are kept informed regarding progress of their wards. ·
The curricular programming spelt out
in the institutional calendar is strictly adhered to. Regular departmental
seminars, help in augmenting the delivery of curriculum. ·
The evaluation of teaching
performance and that of the college by outgoing student on a five point scale
is a good practice of the College. ·
Personal and academic counselling are
followed almost on a missionary zeal. ·
The college is able to achieve two
hundred days of teaching in a year which is better than UGC norms. ·
The college has achieved premier
status in the district of North 24 Parganas. Such performance is only
possible through thorough grooming and careful listening. ·
Advance learners are assisted and
guided by the teachers through extended laboratory facilities, field work,
internet facilities and software facilities. ·
A ragging-free environment in a
predominantly female dominated college is a positive point for the college
administration. ·
