Rigveda 1-89-i.

The Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan was founded in Mumbai in 1938 by Dr. K. M. Munshi, a multifaceted personality. Bhavan is a comprehensive national organisation with an international outlook touching almost all segments of life. It is primarily and essentially an educational & culturial organisation which has grown from small begnings into an all-India intellectual, cultural & education movement.

It has started more than 50 Centres in India and a few International Centres too with avowed object of building up a commonwealth of faith, hope & human values. Hence Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru once referred to it as " a very fine Institution which deserves every encouragement & support."
