01. THE BHARATI VIDYAPEETH
Bharati Vidyapeeth was established in May 1964 by Hon. Dr. Patangrao Kadam (Former Minister for Higher Education, Technical Education and Employment, Govt. of Maharashtra) with an objective of Contributing to the Intellectual awakening and social transformation in different spheres including educational, economical, social and cultural fields in India. Its activities have been geared to bring about all sided progress and welfare of different section in population including women, tribals and the rural people.
In pursuance of the main objective, the Vidyapeeth has started several Educational Institutions operating right from pre-primary to post graduate research stages. The institutions of higher education of Bharati Vidyapeeth impart education and training to the students in several disciplines namely: -

In May, 1995 the Ministry of Human Resource Development on the recommendation of University Grants Commission has accorded the status of DEEMED UNIVERSITY to a cluster of 12 institutions of Bharati Vidyapeeth and by that way Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University has come into Existence, and has started operating since May, 1996.
Bharati Vidyapeeth, with its headquarter located at the educational and cultural capital of Maharashtra, Pune, has established educational centres at Pune, Navi Mumbai, New Delhi, Panchgani (Satara), Sangli, Karad, Kolhapur, Solapur, Kankavli and Jawhar.

02. THE BHARATI VIDYAPEETH’S INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT AND RESEARCH
“Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Management And Research” New Delhi is one of such 120 institutions of Bharati Vidyapeeth. It has been established in 1992 as a part of Bharati Vidyapeeth family in New Delhi, the National Capital. The Institute is affiliated to the University of Pune and is recognized by the AICTE and Ministry of HRD. It is the largest premier professional Post Graduate teaching institution in Business Management and Information Technology with the state of the art building at the National Highway No. 10, Paschim Vihar, Rohtak Road, New Delhi. Presently, the Institute is conducting the following courses of the Pune University:

03. INFRASTRUCTURE
03.01 THE COMPUTER RESOURCE CENTRE
The state of the art “Computer Resource Centre” is equipped with all the latest and relevant H/W and S/W. The technical details of the Computer Centre are as follows:

Hardware
1. Two (2) Servers (One for Windows NT and another for SCO-UNIX) with Pentium - II @300MHz processor, 4.3 GB HDD, 64 MB RAM, 512 Cache, SVGA Digital LG Colour Monitor, 1.44 FDD, 32X INFRA CD-ROM.

2. Thirty (30) active Clients for Windows NT with Pentium 200 MMX processor, 2.3 GB HDD, 32 MB RAM, 512 Cache, SVGA Digital LG Colour Monitor, 1.44 FDD.

3. Ten (10) Pentium Systems @ 100 MHz with Microtek SVGA colour Monitors are connected to NOVEL based LAN.

4. Thirty (30) VT-220 Terminals connected to SCO-UNIX Openserver Network through Two independent VXL active Terminal Servers (16 port each).

5. One Laser Printer

6. One Deskjet Printer

7. Two DMP Printers

The Centre has live multi-user communication environment based on the Client-Server Architecture using the most popular AT&T certified Cabling and MS-Windows NT 4.0 as the Network Operating System. The Network is configured on TCP/IP protocol in which the software training and Hands on Practice to the students is facilitated. Keeping in the mind, the demand of the latest growing IT market, the Institute has purchased all the required Legal Softwares (the list has already been mentioned). As a backup facility in case of power failure, the independent mini-UPS is connected to every System, which is in turn supported by the Central Generator of the Institute. While making the Interior decoration, proper consideration is given to the Lighting and Air-conditioning to make it the best Laboratory among the academic Institutions of Delhi.

BVIMR Computer Centre provides exclusive INTERNET, E-Mail services to the faculty as well as students on TCP/IP connection. The institute’s own web page is under planning. The total investment of amount Rs. 33.5 Lacs is made so far on the Computer Centre.
In order to make the efficient use of the above resources, the laboratory is kept open for minimum 14 hours daily. The Total Area of the Computer laboratory is 146.00 sq.m.

03.02 THE CAMPUS
Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Management and Research (BVIMR) is centrally located at Paschim Vihar, New Delhi. It is 15 KM from Indira Gandhi International Airport and 30 Minutes drive from down town Connaught Place, New Delhi. BVIMR has its own state of the art Campus, developed on four acres of land on National Highway No-10. It is well laid with spacious parking areas with an excellent surrounding striving for a pollution free and healthy environment and incorporates amenities like Conference Hall, Auditorium, well-equipped and spacious Computer Centre and Library.The details of the land available are as follows:

Premisable Area for residential Building : 1617.40 sq.m.
Premisable Area for Play Ground : 7283.80 sq.m.
Total Area : 16185.00 sq.m.

03.03 THE CLASS ROOMS
We have well designed classrooms developed as learning halls to create the professional atmosphere of management training, equipped with audio visual aids and support facilities for professional presentation. A total of 12 classrooms are available with the following dimensions:
6 (big classrooms) 6 * 96 = 576.00 sq.m.
6 (small classrooms) 6 * 50 = 300.00 sq.m.
i.e. a total of 876.00 sq.m. Space is utilised exclusively for classrooms.


03.04 THE CONFERENCE RESOURCE CENTRE
For housing the continuos organization of industry related programs, seminars conferences, IMR has in addition to committee rooms, a Conference Hall of more than 100 capacity with all modern Audio-Visual aids available and also support of media and documentation Centre,. Student managers hold the responsibilities of organizing various events under the guidance of the faculty.


03.05 THE LIBRARY
The Library of BVIMR besides providing a strong collection of more than 6000 Books & 45 National and International Journals related to business study and management, Computers & Information Technology and general information books and also offers facilities of Audio Visual exposure. Networking through the most modern information Internet is also under installation. Academic resource centre provides a spacious reading room facility, besides lending books & Journals.
The Institutional Membership of British Council Library and American Centre Library is also in process. The library staff also helps our students to use the library resources for presentation and formatting the thesis.
The Reference Section beside holding on to regular subject related books, also has a dedicated section on Autobiographies and Biographies of leading Industrialists, Visionaries and Political Leaders.
The total area of the Library is 200.00 sq.m. The work for making the Library centrally air-conditioned is under process.

03.06 THE AUDITORIUM
BVIMR gets students from various parts of India. The student managers bring with them the colorful facets of their culture. We have a well-laid out Auditorium with seating capacity of 300 where our students organize a number of cultural extravaganzas. Plans are afoot to make it one of the best Amphitheaters around. The size of the Auditorium is 750.00 sq.m.



03.07 BVIMR’S PEDAGOGY
At BVIMR the management theory is directly linked to business experience. Lecture sessions are integrated with a greater emphasis on workshops, laboratory work, seminars, tutorials, business game and role-plays. The case studies and presentations provide the tools needed to succeed as functional specialist.
BVIMR provides insight, into the corporate world, through fieldwork in an organization, or an in-depth exposure in the business activity during summer training. The guest lecture by the corporate leaders on the theory and practices are extremely vital in providing the students with qualifications that are relevant to the Market Place.
Our commitments express both environment and the responsibility towards the future of our students. Our emphasis on interactive & action learning distinguishes us from other management schools.

The Placement Cell at IMR provides total support in defining the career of the students. It not only helps the students in getting suitable jobs/summer placement but also assists in bringing excellence in the over all personality by the counselling and self development sessions. The twin sharing girls hostel within the campus offers an independent life style which provides privacy & each student with a family atmosphere of companionship. The size of both the Hostel is 916.95 sq.m.
