The Chennai (Madras) Chapter of IMS has
been in
existence for the past 30 years or so and is
one of the active
and well organised societies of IMS. Some of
the activities
of the chapter are:

Holding Scientific talks in meteorological and allied sciences, delivered by eminent
scientists

Holding seminars in Monsoons , once a year

Conducting workshops for School/College teachers/
students to popularise
meteorology

Arranging
scientific tours to other scientific
institutions to promote scientific interaction

Publication of Chapter's newsletter "BREEZE"
