Man cannot live by bread alone. Human beings are different from all other animals as they are gifted with certain mental faculties which makes them feel,think and imagine,and therefore they do not merely work by instinct.Accordingly,the `needs'of the man are greater/higher than all other animals.It is rightly said that the symmetry/geometry involved in a bee-hive can put to shame the best of the architects in the world,but the basic difference is that the bee works by instinct whereas man works by imigination-he envisages before he creates something.
Strangely enough,man has been one of the weakest of all animals but yet survived in the fight for existence.Where a large number of big and powerful animals such as dinosaurs got extinct from the surface of the planet,man not only survived but has ruled the same by the aid of his faculties to feel, think and imagine.
In order to grow fully and live a life which is not mere "animal existence" man needs an environment which caters to his above distinct faculties. In the present complex and tense life,which we have created for ourselves, we need certain avenues and activities which bring us some relaxation and peace. Reading and writing is one such activity and kalaakshar shall endeavour to provide one such avenue.Other Places to go:
