  OUR FACILITIES

Hospitality:

  In basic human traits the children are far superior to grown ups. Catholic in their choices, accommodative in their approach, adjustable, mostly non demanding ,their minds too full of wonder, enquiry and questions, to bother about things that are fracturing adults' lives. these students have limited needs.   

With this  in mind    La Chatelaine is spread over six acres   to  provide our children clean and comfortable dorms, Hygienic and sumptuous food, and the best medical care through resident medical team and experts of Vijaya Hospital.  There are three dormitories for housing the children, out of which two are air-conditioned .One is reserved for girls.. The dining Hall can take in 700 students and the kitchen covers 12000 sq ft. There are  60 sets of bathrooms and toilets with geysers in all bathrooms. The cots are two tiered for lower classes and single for older children.

Academics:

      Classrooms are spacious  and  are arranged around a quadrangle away from noise and dust in which huge trees are maintained to give plenty of shade throughout the year. Eight air-conditioned classrooms house 250 computers.

The PLAY SCHOOL.LKG and UKG  has a strength of 591 students under the care of forty teaching and non teaching staff. They are taught as a community in huge air conditioned halls with all the modern teaching aids, Physical training and Yoga classes.

    Children in Standards 1 to 5 are learning all subjects through computers  without text books for the past five years. The children finish their worksheets and their corrected work is handed over to their parents every Friday.

  From sixth standard onwards we give two sets of text books one set is kept in school and another set at home.   Weekly Lesson plans for a month are given. They carry no bags and use the books at school when the teacher is conducting class.The finish their worksheets which are corrected and returned. 

     We  work for five days from 8.30 am to 3.45 pm, except during February and March, when all  Saturdays are  working days. Each period will be of 45 minutes duration. There will be seven periods a day.  There is a  Common Assembly for both DAY SCHOLARS  and  RESIDENTIALS  at 8.30AM.

We follow the CBSE curriculum  and recommend NCERT books

Sports :

     Three acres exclusively designated as playground is provided to keep the children fit and healthy both in mind and body. There are nine experts to assist in Athletics, Yoga, Aerobics, Karate, Cricket, Basket  ball,Swimming and Volleyball. 

Co Curricular :

    Comprises of training in Culinary skills, Electronics,   Speech making and language skills are taken care of by the Language labs. Math lab takes care of the analytical ability of the child.

 


       The cultural classes have been incorporated in the regular Time table .
The programmers take care of Instrumental and Vocal music (Oriental  and Western) and Classical dance, Keyboard, Violin,Veena and  Drums training are imparted.

Campus Programs for Residentials:

       The time  children love most. when the games start and all our kids are in the playground under the control of five physical education teachers begins  at 4 pm. Students are grouped according to their interests and abilities..7.30 pm  is dinner time and after a leisurely meal they hit the bed at 8.30 pm. Remember they have to get up at 5am  in the morning. Early to bed, Early to rise makes Jack a studious boy.. or if you prefer Jill, a studious girl. Saturdays and Sundays are devoted for outings in groups . The children are taken in batches to nearby places escorted by the staff members. In addition to our Library a mobile visits the children every Thursday.
