SUB: AN INEXPENSIVE AND SCIENTIFIC SOLUTION TO ALL PROBLEMS OF MANKIND
With great respects and humility, this letter
is written inviting your kind attention to an important discovery in human
psychology. Day to day events are becoming violent and unpredictable and mankind
is becoming restless as numerous problems from AIDS to Wars are spreading
widely. Problems are growing as the root cause isn't treated but only the
symptoms of the problems are being treated and that too separately and
individually. It has been discovered that an error in upbringing children is
responsible for the lifelong distortion in functioning of intelligence, which is
causing devastation of mankind. At this juncture, it is only those who are
serious and feel concerned, who can save the coming generation.
2. SCIENCE ALONE CAN
LIBERATE MANKIND FROM MISERY:
From time to time, new teachers
in religion, politics and mind development have been replacing the old ones with
greater hopes for mankind. Human misery has only increased, as the root cause of
the problems hasn’t been addressed, which again was because it wasn’t found
so far. As a product of intelligence, science alone can liberate mankind
from misery. Science, is the collection of logical, reasonable and provable
facts of nature perceived or discovered by human intelligence. The term
‘scientific’ means anything based on truth or facts of nature. When the
nature and functioning of human mind is understood or perceived fully, a
concrete solution also lies therein.
3. THE SALIENT FEATURES OF THE DISCOVERY:
A. PREVALENT AND THE NATURAL PSYCHOLOGICAL STATES OF MANKIND
1. This discovery may be summed up like this: There is a Natural State of Intelligence in mankind, in which there is effortless and lifelong peace, happiness and stability in the human mind. Besides, the behaviour towards fellow human beings is also harmless and sensitive. The Natural State of Intelligence is fragmented or disturbed in childhood accidentally. Unfortunately, due to an error of parents and elders in upbringing, this fragmented state is retained throughout life causing all problems of mankind.
2. Every generation is needlessly suffering psychologically, throughout their lives for no fault of theirs. The distortions in the functioning of intelligence are due to an error of parents or elders caused unknowingly and involuntarily and therefore no one can be blamed for that. By this discovery, now it becomes possible for mankind to help ensure Natural State of Intelligence in future for ever, just by avoidance of that error in upbringing of the newly arriving children.
3. It may be unbelievable but true, that the presently available scientific knowledge is enough for mankind to live comfortably by working only for a few hours. Mankind can spend rest of the time in playgrounds and other activities that too for good health. Everyone is involuntarily causing suffering to others due to motivations and in turn suffering due to retaliatory responses in the Prevalent State of Intelligence. Most of the people are needlessly struggling for survival, due to needless and motivated activities of some people.
4. Emotions have been found to be the result of fragmentation of intelligence. Negative emotions like fear or jealousy arise often either on their own or during new situations. Then in order to balance them, the functioning intelligence in senses habitually indulges in activities of aggressiveness, competition, exploitation, which are called as positive emotions. These so called positive emotions of some people are resulting in enormous misery of mankind. In the Natural Psychological State, mankind is free from these unnatural emotions and hence is free from misery.
B. HOW IS THE ERROR IN UPBRINGING AFFECTING HUMAN INTELLIGENCE?
5. Contrary to popular belief, voluntarily or when one is fully intelligent or conscious, no one can behave harmfully. It is unbelievable that a seemingly insignificant behavioural error of parents and elders during upbringing is causing distortion in intelligence from childhood itself. Brief explanation of the error and its effects are given below.
6. Children having a fall or accidentally getting hurt may be common. Giving due medical treatment to them is essential and also natural. However, 'pampering children to stop their crying’ when physically hurt or crying, has been found to be an unnatural and a motivated act. It is termed as ‘involuntary behavioural error' of parents or elders, as it is responsible for the permanence of distortion in intelligence.
7. During the growing years of the brain in children, the intelligence also is still growing and so it can perceive events of low intensity only. During an event of high intensity like a severe hurt on the body, excessive impulses are produced and sent to the senses centre of the brain, causing an 'overflow', which is unperceivable by the still growing intelligence. This 'overflow of impulses' causes a shock or sudden 'division or fragmentation of intelligence' or imbalance in the senses center for an instant. This division is only temporary and is perhaps a safety measure of nature. Intelligence invariably returns to natural or undivided state on its own after some time, if the child is left free, by only medically treating the injury.
8. After any physical hurt, children generally cry and during that time, intelligence is in the process of returning to normal or natural state. If the child is pampered at the time of crying, in order to perceive that new event of pampering, the natural process of returning to normal or natural state is suddenly halted. Pampering balances the unperceived effects of fragmentation and thus helps the Fragmented State of Intelligence to remain permanently. Functioning intelligence in senses gets used to the unperceived effects of hurt, by balancing it often with pampering or pleasure yielding activities. Thus perception and responses are always incomplete and inaccurate in the fragmented state of intelligence.
9. Pampering causes dependence on it or on
seeking pleasure throughout life. In its natural state, human intelligence has
enormous capacity to perceive physical pain. Pampered children or adults can’t
perceive even minute hurts and begin seeking pampering. Unbelievably, this is
causing a 'permanent distortion in the functioning intelligence throughout life
leading to needless suffering and unending problems to humanity.
C. EVERY PERSON IS EITHER INTELLIGENCE DOMINANT OR
EMOTION DOMINANT
10. As per the proportion or domination of either intelligence or fragmentation, two distinct classifications can be made in the fragmented state of intelligence. Intelligence Dominant Persons have 51% and more intelligence in senses, hence are reasonable, cooperative and can be convinced, as emotions do not motivate their intelligence. Intelligence dominant Persons can never be violent or exploitative and they can’t compete for leadership. The second category is that of Emotion Dominant Persons. In them 51% or more of intelligence is fragmented or disturbed and only 49% or less of intelligence is in senses, thereby meaning that emotions are dominating them.
11. As the fragmentation or motivation varies
from person to person, a hierarchy has been created in the emotion dominant
state with leadership at the top. Intelligence dominant persons are out of the
race, as generally the motivation for leadership isn’t dominant in them. In
the emotion dominant state, though highly emotion dominant persons are desirous
of leadership, they can’t go to the top because they are easily provoked and
hence can’t carry all or majority of their chain of command along with them.
Though domination of emotions is a prerequisite, only when it is minimal the
leadership is stronger than other contenders. That is how unexpectedly some
persons go or even pushed to the
top as leaders.
12. Leadership, whether religious, political or commercial is an involuntary motivated need arising from illusions of insecurity. Because of the inherent illusions of insecurity of leaders, most organisations indulge in exploitation of the masses through intellectual means, thereby causing poverty and wars in the long run. In this hierarchy, generally persons with lesser emotions are motivated to go to the top and indulge in downward exploitation of people with high level of emotions (or lesser intelligence) who are below. Majority of the world’s population today can be said to be in the Emotion Dominant Class, in view of the growing poverty, violence and wars in the world.
13. Human interactions are essential. They are fair when they are natural. However, any motivated response or interaction is generally unfair and it amounts to exploitation. Physical exploitation is mostly noticeable and can be prevented or protected from. However, intellectual exploitation is going on unabatedly in the world. The intellectual exploitation is the involuntary and motivated act aiming for profit, by denial or deprivation of rights or resources of a person or a group of persons through one or series of oral or verbal interactions openly, covertly, instantly or over a period of time.
14. Wars and poverty are two examples of major tragedies resulting from physical and intellectual exploitation. War is the motivated impulsive response of intelligence by leaders of one group, aimed to physically overpower another group of mankind, resulting in great misery. Poverty is generally the long accumulated effect of the motivated intellectual responses of aggressive persons on the weaker, vulnerable, hesitant, fearful and non-aggressive persons or class.
15. Unfortunately none is aware that even intellectual exploitation is involuntary and motivated. Hence, exploitation by intellectual means is justified in the name of reward for hard work, progress, competition or excellence. Any one who is intelligence dominant will be innovative and also have a decent and comfortable life, but not endlessly competitive and acquisitive of wealth, power, position or power in any name whatsoever.
D. GIVE SCIENCE A CHANCE AND PROBE THIS ERROR IN UPBRINGING
16. This functional error of intelligence can be roughly compared to that of a ‘tapping error’. When a part of power supply is tapped or drawn by another unit, performance of the main unit is obviously distorted. Similarly 'tapping of energy' by the fragmented part replaying emotions disturbs the main or functioning intelligence. As the defect arises during the formation or growth of intelligence and the brain, this error is also crudely referred to as ‘manufacturing defect’.
17. All normally born babies are 100% intelligent. Generally, the level of intelligence of children is brought down to the average level of parents or elders, due to the errors in ‘behavioural responses’. In a family or a country, the level of intelligence can be increased only by ensuring correction of errors in upbringing. Education only increases the level of knowledge, which is undoubtedly an essential tool for living. In many countries, though educational standards have increased tremendously, the poverty and crimes levels have not come down.
18. Any one can find the veracity of this finding just by continuous observation of responses of parents or elders, when small children are physically hurt. These observations can be conducted with various parents with various temperaments and also social, educational, economical standards of the family in which the child grows. Then the data can be tabulated and compared to find the veracity, by studying their behaviour later.
19. Children have been found to be more stable minded in cases where the parents reduced or abstained from pampering at the time of hurt. Many parents, who are bringing up their children by adopting this formula, are finding that their children are comparatively more co-operative and easy to manage, than other children. Intelligence and co-operative behaviour of such children can be clearly observed after about 3 years of age.
20. It is common to hear that children become good by education or when they ‘grow up’ by age. However both are wrong. Events of childhood physical hurts may be forgotten, but its effects are permanently retained due to pampering done at that time itself. It is very important to note that ‘conduct and behaviour’ can’t be taught. Behaviour is the spontaneous response of intelligence and hence, intelligence should be protected in the Natural State. Only mannerisms and sophistication can be taught, which often covers up pretensions and hypocrisy.
21. Even if the error in upbringing can’t be entirely avoided, the errors can be minimised till children retain at least the intelligence dominant state, which is enough to be sensible, moderate and open to reason. Though conventional psychology and related sciences haven’t halted or reduced the misery of mankind, the progress made by them in treating many pathological disorders can't be overlooked. 22. The ‘behavioural error of parents during upbringing of children’ is an extremely important area, which mankind has overlooked or ignored so far. Responsible and moderate persons those who are in high positions in Government or business may arrange, persuade or sponsor further researches in this area for the benefit of humanity.
23. Science can’t be blamed for its harmful applications by the disturbed State of Intelligence. For instance, discoveries like the atomic fusion have been applied or used to the detriment of mankind by motivated persons. The problem lies with the fragmented state of intelligence and not with knowledge.
24. When the make, model and principle of operation are the same of all human brains, there can’t be different perceptions and responses from different persons to the same situation, if all are functioning naturally. The differences in opinions have been given respectability, by calling innovation, originality, individuality etc., which may not be always right.
25. Human brain takes a long time to grow fully (Some specialists say it as even up to 7 years). The exclusively enormous capability of the human brain may have possibly necessitated the long duration of time for its growth. This long duration of growth could become a disadvantage to mankind, if proper and scientific care isn’t given till it is grown fully. Longer the period of growth may result in more possibilities of errors in upbringing.
26. Genes may carry only some organic and
pathological disorders of the bran, which however doesn’t come under the scope
of this work. The distortion in functioning of intelligence commences only after
birth, due to some errors in upbringing. By implementing this inexpensive
formula during the upbringing of children, the coming generations would save
enormous amount of resources, manpower, time and energy. Otherwise they would be
spending all this on crime prevention, poverty alleviation, diseases and wars as
being done now. Besides, they shall be grateful to the previous
generation for raising them naturally.
4. DISTORTIONS IN FUNCTIONING
OF INTELLIGENCE IS ONLY CAUSING ALL PROBLEMS:
At this juncture, it is essential to
end the confusion by understanding that ‘I’ isn’t the possessor of
intelligence, but is the intelligence itself. It is incorrect to say that
‘I’ have intelligence, as it gives an illusion that ‘ I’ is another
entity. Intelligence expresses itself as 'I' in everybody. Intelligence is
the possessor of knowledge, which are past perceptions in memory. Awareness can
be described as one of the functions or characteristics of intelligence. It may
be interesting to note that, from the time of getting up from bed, till the time
of going back to bed, human intelligence or the 'I' is constantly
perceiving and responding to situations. Life is nothing but constant perception
and responses of intelligence or 'I'. It has been discovered that all problems
of mankind are only responses of intelligence or their effects, either at that
moment or accumulated over many years. Situations prompt human responses and
responses create new situations and this chain is harmonious only when conflicts
are absent, in the Natural State of Intelligence. Since the intelligence is
distorted, it is perceiving and responding inaccurately and inadequately causing
newer problems and also newer categories of problems for mankind. Problems are
only new situations, which the fragmented or distorted intelligence considers as
difficult to overcome or respond easily or effortlessly.
5. HOW CAN A COMMON MAN’S
FORMULA HELP IN BRINGING A CONCRETE CHANGE IN MANKIND?
All over the world from time to time,
human intelligence has discovered or offered new, good and often useful
solutions for liberating mankind from misery. Any such solution catering
or benefiting only a section of mankind is generally born from divided or
fragmented state of intelligence and consequently there arise several
competitors and rivals in each field. Absolute truth is simple, scientific,
belonging to and also equally useful to whole of mankind. Therefore there
can’t be contenders or surrendering disciples to it. Human intelligence has
been struggling, but it didn’t know
what it is missing, in order to regain.
After studying numerous cases and by eliminating unnecessary details, an error
responsible for causing distortions in the functioning of intelligence has been
identified. As many people would prefer a simple and suggestive formula to
follow, a single sentence formula also has been devised. Mere implementation of
this formula by parents, can help ensure continuation of the Natural State of
Intelligence throughout life in the coming generation or the newly arriving
children. The singlesentence formula is as follows:
“At least until 2 ½ years of age, don’t pamper children,
when they are hurt or
crying, but treat the injury medically.”
Note: Pampering isn't harmful when the child is normal and playful. This formula is highly useful if adopted as early as possible, say when the baby is around 6 months itself. The age of 2 -1/2 years is mentioned, because the brain and in turn the intelligence, would have grown by at least 75% by then.
It is advisable to continue to adopt this even afterwards, for more benefit. It may not be helpful, if implemented after the child has already become dependent on pampering. It is not advisable to force children to study or understand during the growing years of the brain.
6. TWO TRAGEDIES THAT ARE
STRIKING HUMAN INTELLIGENCE:
Perhaps from the beginning of
civilisation, two tragedies have been striking human intelligence as follows.
First tragedy is that an error in upbringing is causing the permanence of
division or fragmentation of intelligence, which is triggering involuntary
competition, aggressiveness and exploitation, throughout life. Second tragedy is
that this involuntary competition, aggressiveness and exploitation are regarded
and encouraged as normal and natural causing tremendous misery to the vulnerable
sections of humanity. As the second tragedy is the outcome of the first one,
mere
avoidance of the first tragedy in the coming generation shall obviously ensure
that the second tragedy doesn't arise at all.
As
the level of intelligence or attention in senses is decreasing or coming down in
mankind, one is unable to easily perceive or gauge the magnitude of harmful
effects of competition like exploitation, poverty, conflicts, violence and wars.
In spite of several useful findings in it, psychology has remained mostly an
analytical and comparative study rather than any pure science like physics or
chemistry. Psychologically disturbed people are increasing all over the world,
despite the increase of professionals and adding new branches to mental health
and psychology. The irony is that everyone is being treated, even
without defining or understanding the Normal or Natural Psychological State of
mankind.
8. WHY ONLY FOR THE COMING GENERATION AND WHY ADULTS CAN’T CHANGE
?
The findings of the independent
research carried out so far by this author, indicate that it is generally
difficult for adults to return to the Natural State of Intelligence. It is
because, the functioning intelligence in senses has got used to the effect of
fragmentation and it also considers the prevalent perception itself as normal or
natural. As said earlier, any such attempt in transformation or liberation
generally causes newer dependence. There isn’t a single instance so far, where
a guru has helped any one to be transformed. Permanent peace and happiness
can’t be obtained by this kind of periodic meditations, although they may give
some kind of relief from restlessness for a while. Generally the highly
unstable or ambitious persons go to such things. Although further research
is continuing in that direction, this author’s primary focus is on protecting
the Natural State of Intelligence in the ‘newly arriving children’. It is
possible and also inexpensive, easy and simple for all those who are serious.
9. AN APPEAL TO ALL AND
ESPECIALLY TO STUDENTS AND YOUNGSTERS:
As the functional intelligence is
reducing and emotional disturbances are increasing in mankind, a near total
collapse of intelligent interactions is visible in all aspects of life.
Aggressive persons are needlessly and involuntarily making use of all
organisations like government, business or legal system often to the detriment
of the weak and the vulnerable sections of society. Irrelevant truths,
rhetoricised half truths and philosophies are also increasing, thereby resulting
in even eclipsing the need for finding the real reason for man’s problems and
misery.
In view of the above, perhaps all would agree that a concrete solution is essential to help mankind from the impending misery or disaster. If some thing is not done now urgently, works of all great men including that of Jiddu Krishnamurti* may become a sheer waste, due to absence of any advancement, development and progress of their findings and endeavours. Even this finding may most probably be advanced sooner or later by intelligence in some other human being. However, till then we have to do our best, by using the best of what ever we have now. The urgency here may not please be mistaken for any hurry. Hurry is a motivated response, whereas urgency is the natural response of intelligence.
Although this work may be of academic interest to all, it is the younger generation who can be benefited most by this finding. If they aren’t serious, needlessly they may suffer like the rest of mankind of the previous generations. Therefore students and youngsters and specially the future mothers are requested to understand this now, so that they can make use of the formula, when they set up their families and raise their children. It would benefit them as parents because, children raised like this when grown up as adults, would naturally give better care to their parents than their previous generations have given. From the next academic session, this author proposes to have interactions with students in colleges. Please write to the author after consulting your principals, about the dates of your convenience for having an interaction session.
10. RICH AND THE POWERFUL CAN
EASILY HELP IN BRINGING A CONCRETE
CHANGE IN THE WORLD:
Intelligence dominant persons may
appreciate this venture, but they can't possibly help this, as they may not have
enough resources. Educated and slightly emotion dominant persons, who are
obviously the rich and powerful in the world, only can easily help this project.
They may think of the world of tomorrow, wherein their children live witnessing
the increase of poverty and violence in the world. Needless to state, the coming
generations would be highly indebted to such sponsors, for helping mankind to
regain the glory of the natural state of intelligence. For this smoothest
transition of mankind to the intelligence dominant state, minimum period
required is only one generation, provided all or most of the newly arriving
children are raised naturally. Though this is well nigh impossible, a large
number of children are expected to grow in the intelligence dominant state in
the coming years. Your generous help is solicited, which can definitely help in
bringing a concrete change in the future of humanity.
The readers need not accept what is stated herein nor alter or change their
