AN INSPIRATION TO DANCE!!
Music and dance have been integral parts of religious rites in ancient India. In ancient times the dance form which is now referred to as Bharata Natyam was called Sadir. Later, since it was done according to Sastra, it came to be known as Bharata Natyam. The principles or techniques were systematised and compiled in Bharata Muni's 'Natya Shastra'.
Nritya Prerana School of Dance has been established by 'Suchitra Date'. Her Guru Shri Krishnamani was a disciple of Late Guru Laxmikantan of Tanjore and Guru Ponappa Pillai of Madras.
She has choreographed dance ballets in Mumbai & Pune and has performed many programmes including on national network.
The curriculum consists of 7 years of rigorous training at the end of which students perform in public through a ceremony called 'Arangetram'
Fourteen students have successfully performed their Arangetram under her guidance.
