The School of Fashion Technology was established in 1998 by Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha (MKSSS) in collaboration with National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), (Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India) with a mission to identify young women with professional, managerial, technical and entrepreneurial aspirations, talents and determination and trigger them off to become excellent inspirational leaders in the fashion industry in India to meet the challenges of industrial competitiveness on a global plane.

The curricula for its programs are well researched and recognized by leading exporters, industrialists and academicians to give vital inputs to ensure that the programs are practical and industry oriented. The close interaction between the industry and the institute ensures continuous exposure of the students to the industry

The institute works very closely with institutions and industry organizations to prepare itself to provide professional for the industry for meeting the global challenges of post MFA era and this millennium.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
  • Fill up all details and paste a passport size photograph on the Applicaton Form
  • Send the filled up application form only through Speed Post / Courier / Registered Post. Retain the courier / postal receipt as proof of dispatch.
  • On the date of entrance examination, take the admit card and report to the examination center at least 30 minutes prior the scheduled time of commencement of the examination.
  • In Group B, candidate shall have to exercise an option in the application form. Out of 2 programs, FDCT and TD, the candidates will have to indicate the preference which would be considered on the basis of merit and vacancy.

  • Attach a Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- in favour of "School of Fashion Technology" payable at Pune
  • Incomplete application form will not be accepted.
  • Admit card will be issued by the office well in advance so that it can reach a week before the date of the entrance examination.
  • In case if you do not receive the admit card, you may contact the SOFT office.
  • After May 29th, 2004 downloaded application will not be accepted.
