The
Indian Meat Science Association (IMSA) and Rajiv Gandhi College of Veterinary
and Animal Sciences (RAGACOVAS), Pondicherry have great pleasure in organizing a
National Symposium on “Impact of Globalisation on Indian Meat Industry”
and the First Convention of Indian Meat Association on December 11-12,
2003. This symposium would provide a forum for Meat Scientist, Professionals,
Entrepreneurs/Industrialists and exporters to develop an effective linkage
between institutions and industry with an objective to meet the challenges of
globalisation of the Indian Meat Industry. We extend a warm invitation to all
those who are engaged in various spheres of Meat Science and Technology and
Industry to participate in this event.
Scientific
Programme
The scientific programme of the symposium and convention will offer 5 technical sessions including a full session on Industry-Academy interaction and a separate plenary session. Technical sessions will encompass all aspects of Meat Science & Technology Viz. Meat Production, Meat Processing, Quality Control, Marketing and By-Products utilization.
Call for Papers /Abstracts
Two
copies of abstracts of original research papers not exceeding 250 words and
typed in double space on A4 size paper have to be sent to the organizing
secretary latest by 10.11.203. Abstract (in MS-Word) may also be sent by email
to ragacovas@vsnl.com in addition to hard copies. Title of
the abstract followed by the name of the author(s) along with their affiliations
have to be furnished. The name of the presenting author has to be underlined.

efforts will be made to provide accommodation in Govt. Guest Houses depending on
availability at reasonable rate on first-come first-serve basis. Good hotels are
available at Pondicherry, tariff ranges from Rs.500-1800 per double bed room per
day. Accomodation details with charges must be sent along with the registration
form.

Registration
fee (non-refundable) has to be paid by a DD drawn in favour of “Organising
Secretary IMSACON-I”, payable at any Nationalised bank at Pondicherry.
Completed
registration form along with registration fee, 2 copies of abstracts and
accommodation charges may be sent on or before 10.11.2003 to
